What do All Behavior Disorders Have in Common?

All so called behavior disorders have one thing in common and this is the emotional state of the individual diagnosed with the disorder. The problem with classifying any human behavior as a disorder and in particular a disease is it allows one to completely ignore or dissociate from the real problem and the problem is simply one's emotional state. This is why Step 1 of the SR® process is an emotional checklist. As we have stated since the introduction of SR® into psychiatric care in 1990 “If you do not begin your counseling session with measuring the clients emotional state you have nowhere to go.” Every CSRC is required to implement the Emotional Checklist before your first session and at every follow-up session after completion of the SR® process. No one in counseling, coaching or mental health does this.

Why a Diagnosis?

SR® Counselors and Coaches do not diagnose, do not do observational assessments and do not need background information. A diagnosis of a behavior disorder is only useful for attorneys, pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies and psychotherapists with TV shows. In other words it only takes one person to have a disease; it takes two people to have a disorder. A diagnosis is absolutely useless and even harmful if your objective is to fix the problem. We find it especially perverted and appalling to label a child with a disorder and even worse to use medication while completely dissociating from the real problem. Use of the SR® process does not require a diagnosis or background information in order for it to work.

Why we List Behavior Disorders?

We list behavior disorders because of the creation of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual in 1952. Diagnostic and Statistical are a contradiction in terms because there is no hard science in behavioral health as there is with the SR® process. We list behavior disorders because this is how everyone in behavioral health including patients and clients are used to relating to their core issue which is the condition of one’s emotional state.

SR® Counselors Deliver Documented Results

Our SR® counseling services include the full spectrum of human emotion, behavior and objectives. We are able to accomplish this by starting out with a clear definitive answer to "What determines an emotional state and behavior?" After clearly answering this question we guide you through the process of how the subconscious works and then how to consistently take control of it. As Dr. Litchford stated in his video "Why Subconscious Restructuring is Frightening the Mental Health Industry", depression, anxiety or any other emotional state that does not work is not just occurring while at the coaches or counselors office, it is going on all the time. One must have the tools in place to address one’s emotional state all the time and this is the primary objective of the SR® process.
